It’s easier to be alone.
Last July 25 at 10pm, I left Cebu with my long time friend, Jasper for Leyte to do a Maternity shoot for our friend. But before going to their house in Baybay, we decided to go to Kalanggaman since we’re already in Leyte. We took a ferry (was it a ferry?) to Ormoc and from Ormoc, we took a van to Palompon.
We arrived at around 5 in the morning in Ormoc. We decided to have coffee at the nearest bakery.
On our way to the Tourism office of Palompon to book ourselves for a boat to Kalanggaman.
The boat to Kalanggaman is for Php 3,000 for 15 people. But since there were only 2 of us, we need to pay for Php 3,000.
Hi! A photo of us, finally!
Luckily, a fellow Cebuano family adopted us in their banca and were very generous enough to let us join them free of charge!
Spent the whole day soaking up the sun. We were blessed to have a good weather that day. It has been raining in Cebu recently.
Had a really long walk to the end of the sandbar. Kalanggaman is one of the nicest islands I’ve been to. If you want to be away from everything, this place is just right for you.
It is named after its bird-like form. Which you can’t really see in this photo. Sorry ._.
Going there just once is probably enough for me. There’s no electricity, food and water available in the island.
The family who adopted us were kind enough to also let us join them for lunch. They brought a lot of food with them. 4 of them married Norwegians. After lunch, there was a group of divers from the different parts of the world in the cottage next to us who were singing “Wherever You Will Go” by The Calling. Hence, the title of this post in Norwegian. I asked Fatrice, the daughter of Ate Daphney, the one who adopted us to translate it for me. Some of the divers asked to take a photo with me. I wish I can find them somewhere in the internet though. It’s nice to meet different kinds of people and get to know their culture. I like how Norwegians are very open-minded and how they treat everyone equally in their country. No discrimination at all, according to Ate Daphney.
And for some frustrating reasons, I can’t show you a single photo from the maternity shoot which gives me a reason to go back to Leyte next week. I really don’t know how to feel about this. So, ‘til the next post? Thank you for reading! Xx
P.S. All film photos were taken with LC-W loaded with Lomography Color Negative ISO 100

First of all, I’d like to say sorry to my parents and to my boyfriend for not telling you that I went to the beach this morning which is a three hour drive from the city because I saw a picture of Sheena in the beach and got jealous of it.
Second of all, I’m not depressed. I just really needed to do something. Life is too short to be bored and do nothing about it but face the computer all day. Also, I can’t afford to waste such lovely weather and I’ve never gone to the beach lately. It’s like poseidon is calling me. HAHA. Crazy. But seriously, it’s like a thirst that I needed to quench.
So this morning, I was browsing photos in instagram. And as mentioned, I saw sheena’s picture in a certain beach located at the southern part of cebu. I asked her few details about it but I ended up somewhere 36 km farther than the beach we talked about :))
But nonetheless, it was worth it! Way more than 10 pesos for the entrance fee that’s why I gave 100 pesos for the caretaker because 10 pesos? Seriously? JUST 10 PESOS FOR THIS? But as usual, whenever I go somewhere alone, I got the “Nganong ikaw ra man usa day? Wa diay kay lover boy?” (Why are you alone? Don’t you have a boyfriend?) The hell.
LOL. Camwhoring fail. HAHAHA! Sorry. I wanted a really nice beach photo. But I got nothing. Sorry self-timer mode D: I was alone so it was fine camwhoring the whole time. Nobody was there since it’s the start of classes already.
The only creature I met.
This is what I get for travelling alone. Fail photos of me. CROPPED. DAMMIT! HAHA! It’s okay. I don’t care. I went there to swim anyway.
How’s that for a Monday? Have a great start of the week! :D For those who wanna ask where this was, just ask me. But don’t be anonymous. I can’t tell where this exactly was since I didn’t ask for permission.
I miss the beach…so bad.
My new facebook timeline cover. LOL. Ughhh I hate timeline but I just have to have a photo for it. LOL. Hi guys! Good evening! This photo was taken earlier by my sister. Still here in Boracay. No plans of going out tonight. Other than being the not really the party-goer type of person, I can’t take the cold sea breeze. BBBRRRR. How’s your day? :)
Summer never ends!
